I was born right here in Mountain View, at El Camino Hospital, and this city has been home ever since.

I was raised by a single mom who did her very best to raise me while struggling to make ends meet. There were times when we needed help. We relied on Section 8 housing and the local food bank, and when times were difficult, this city and this community had our family's back.

I've never forgotten that.

After my mom passed away, a spark was lit inside me. I felt a deeper responsibility to give back to the community that had given so much to us. Mountain View helped raise me. I went to school here, got my first job here, built my career here, and became the person I am today here.

That's why I'm running for City Council.

I know what it feels like to grow up in a household where every dollar matters. I know what it means when a community gives someone a chance. And I want Mountain View to remain a place where working people, seniors, renters, and young people starting out can still see a future for themselves.

Mountain View had my family's back when we needed it most. Now I want to have Mountain View's back.

This is more than the city where I was born. This is home.
